Renovations Underway

August 2, 2013

TEAMeffort, a youth mission trip organization, spent the summer at the Jeremiah House working on some of the necessary home renovations. The groups ranged from 10-30 students each week for a total of four weeks. Carla, the Jeremiah house mom, started each week with a house tour and testimonial. The kids felt the impact of the ladies stories and their journey toward recovery.

The first week of renovations began downstairs mopping the dusty floor and outside landscaping the grounds. Following this group came two weeks of wallpaper removal and painting. The kids were determined to finish and scrapped off the last bit of paper before their week was over. Next they removed the carpet and replaced it with a higher quality of carpet from Lowes.

The last week consisted of restoring and painting the storage shed and cutting back the shrubs. The TEAMeffort students and their donations were a huge blessing to the Jeremiah House. God’s provision has been amazing to witness and anticipate for the future.
